What We Do?

Research

Research is the basis for establishing adequate conservation measures. Before initiating corrective measures to protect a species and its habitat, we must know basic aspects about its biology, biogeographical or ecological aspects and clearly determine the true threat status of the species.

Proyecto Mono Tocón (PMT) has provided interesting data about the distribution area and current threats to the survival of the species, population density and currently with ecological and ethological studies of the species.

It also provides services to other public and private entities for the execution of scientific studies and inventories of the biological diversity of the San Martín region.

PMT collaborates with researchers from other national and international institutions in studies that promote the conservation of Peruvian biodiversity. If you are part of a research team and you are interested in starting a project in San Martin region, get in touch with us.
