Proyecto Mono Tocón has the following conservation objectives:

•    To promote local conservation initiatives;
•    To supply the Peruvian government with current environmental information;
•    To involve public and private parties in biodiversity conservation;
•    To stimulate participative conservation processes;
•    To support local communities with the application for new conservation areas;
•    To promote cooperation between conservation organisations.

To reach our objectives, Proyecto Mono Tocón executes three conservation programs directed towards the conservation of the species’ habitat:

•    The Alto Mayo Program.
•    The Bajo Mayo Program.
•    The Central Huallaga Program.

Each program initiates new, or supports existing projects for the creation of new conservation areas, securing the protection titi monkey populations.
