Environmental Education is an important component of a biodiversity conservation project.
As people will not be motivated to conserve something that they do not know, it is important to connect them with the nature in their neighbourhood. We should motivate them to participate actively in the solution of environmental problems and the prevention of future difficulties. Proyecto Mono Tocón has the objective to contribute to a society that is determined to aim at a sustainable development, with a rational use of the natural sources. Scholars should know and appreciate the fauna and flora that is surrounding them, take position against harmful practices and act in defence of nature conservation.
The education programmes are designed by international and local specialists, and adapted to local customs and local environmental problems. The network of volunteers is a learning platform for young students and an important forum for particular ideas and experiences.
